Shadowform sits in row 7 of the Priest Shadow tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role, and you will need Vampiric Embrace maxed first. It costs just one point. So the only question is whether opening its row fits your build.

What Shadowform does at each rank
A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.
- Rank 1: Assume Shadowform, increasing your Shadow damage by 10%, reducing the Mana cost of all Shadow spells by 50%, increasing the critical strike damage bonus of your Shadow spells by 100%, and reducing Physical damage taken by you by 15%. However, you may not cast healing spells while in this form.
How to reach Shadowform
Row 7 opens after you spend 30 points in the earlier Shadow rows. Level 40 is the earliest you can pick up Shadowform, and you will need Vampiric Embrace maxed first.
Is Shadowform worth the points?
One point gives you the full effect. The real cost is opening row 7. That is 30 points in the rows above, so take it when the talent suits your build.
