WoW Forever talent build comparison tool
Compare two WoW Forever talent builds from the same class and see exactly what changed: talent ranks, points moved, tree totals and character levels. Use it before a respec, while planning a leveling path, or when you are choosing between raid, dungeon and PvP variants.
This tool explains the difference between two allocations; it does not simulate damage, judge gear or declare a permanent best build. It accepts a copied share link or the raw build code.
How to compare two builds
- Paste the first build's share link or code into Build A.
- Paste the second build into Build B.
- Press Compare.
- Read the table: green numbers are points added in Build B, and red numbers are points removed.
See which talents gained or lost ranks, including the old and new rank totals.
Check whether points moved into Arms, Frost, Restoration or another tree.

What the comparison results mean
The result table works like a receipt for your respec. Each row is one talent: the A and B columns show the ranks in each build, while Δ shows the difference. Green means Build B adds ranks; red means Build B removes them.
Each tree also gets a total row, so you can see where the points went. The header adds every individual rank change into “points moved,” and the two levels stay visible so a level-40 build next to its level-60 version reads as a progression plan.
A concrete example: say Build A is your level-40 Arms warrior and Build B is the level-60 version from the starter builds. The table might show Mortal Strike 1/1 in both (unchanged, so it doesn't even appear), Improved Slam 0/2 as +2 in green, and the Arms tree total climbing from 31 to 35. You instantly see the growth path instead of eyeballing two calculators side by side.
When should you compare builds?
- Before a respec: confirm that only the intended talents are moving.
- During leveling: compare an early build with the level-60 plan to see what you are working toward.
- For role variants: compare raid, dungeon and PvP versions of the same class.
What this tool does not measure
The comparison shows allocation differences, not DPS, healing, threat, gear value or encounter performance. Use the class guide, class changes and in-game testing to decide whether a change is actually better.

Why must both builds be the same class?
Talent trees are class-specific. A Warrior build code cannot be interpreted inside a Mage tree, so the tool rejects mismatched classes instead of showing misleading results.
What does points moved mean?
It is the total number of individual ranks added or removed between the two builds. Five points moved means five rank changes, even if they are spread across several talents.
Can I compare builds at different levels?
Yes. The result header shows each build's level, so you can compare a leveling plan with its level-60 version.
How do I share a build?
Open any starter build or class calculator, press Copy build, and paste the link into Build A or Build B.
