Soul Link sits in row 5 of the Warlock Demonology tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role, and you will need Demonic Sacrifice maxed first. It costs just one point. So the only question is whether opening its row fits your build.

What Soul Link does at each rank

A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.

Rank 1: When active, 30% of all damage taken by the caster is taken by your Imp, Voidwalker, Succubus, Incubus, or Felhunter Demon instead. In addition, both the Demon and the master will inflict 3% more damage. Lasts as long as the Demon is active.

How to reach Soul Link

Row 5 opens after you spend 20 points in the earlier Demonology rows. Level 30 is the earliest you can pick up Soul Link, and you will need Demonic Sacrifice maxed first.

Is Soul Link worth the points?

One point gives you the full effect. The real cost is opening row 5. That is 20 points in the rows above, so take it when the talent or the picks it unlocks suits your build.
