Scatter Shot Scatter Shot

Hunter · Marksmanship · Row 5 of 7 · Single rank
Active ability

Scatter Shot sits in row 5 of the Hunter Marksmanship tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role. It costs just one point. So the only question is whether opening its row fits your build.

8% of base mana | 15 yd range | Instant | 30 sec cooldown

What Scatter Shot does at each rank

A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.

  1. Rank 1: A short-range shot that deals 50% weapon damage and disorients the target for 4 sec. Any damage caused will remove the effect. Turns off your attack when used.

How to reach Scatter Shot

Row 5 opens after you spend 20 points in the earlier Marksmanship rows. Level 30 is the earliest you can pick up Scatter Shot.

Is Scatter Shot worth the points?

One point gives you the full effect. The real cost is opening row 5. That is 20 points in the rows above, so take it when the talent suits your build.
