Master of Deception
Rogue · Subtlety · Row 1 of 7 · 3 ranks
Changed from Classic
Master of Deception sits in row 1 of the Rogue Subtlety tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role. It can take up to 3 points. Max it fully, or put in a few points just to open the rows below.
Changed from Classic. This talent now works differently than in Classic, so read the ranks below before you spend any points.
What Master of Deception does at each rank
A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.
- Rank 1: Reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while in Stealth mode as if you were 1 level higher.
- Rank 2: Reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while in Stealth mode as if you were 2 levels higher.
- Rank 3: Reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while in Stealth mode as if you were 3 levels higher.
How to reach Master of Deception
Row 1 opens after you spend 0 points in the earlier Subtlety rows. Level 10 is the earliest you can pick up Master of Deception.
Is Master of Deception worth the points?
Every rank makes the effect stronger, so putting in a few points while leveling is totally fine. Max it when the final rank is the heart of your endgame build. And if you only need it as a stepping stone, no shame in stopping early.
