What Tidal Focus does at each rank

A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.

  1. Rank 1: Reduces the Mana cost of your healing spells by 1% and improves your chance to hit by 1%.
  2. Rank 2: Reduces the Mana cost of your healing spells by 2% and improves your chance to hit by 2%.
  3. Rank 3: Reduces the Mana cost of your healing spells by 3% and improves your chance to hit by 3%.
  4. Rank 4: Reduces the Mana cost of your healing spells by 4% and improves your chance to hit by 4%.
  5. Rank 5: Reduces the Mana cost of your healing spells by 5% and improves your chance to hit by 5%.

How to reach Tidal Focus

Row 2 opens after you spend 5 points in the earlier Restoration rows. Level 15 is the earliest you can pick up Tidal Focus.

Is Tidal Focus worth the points?

Every rank makes the effect stronger, so putting in a few points while leveling is totally fine. Max it when the final rank is the heart of your endgame build. And if you only need it as a stepping stone, no shame in stopping early.
