NEW in Forever Active ability Requires Lightning Overload
Lava Burst sits in row 7 of the Shaman Elemental tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role, and you will need Lightning Overload maxed first. It costs just one point. So the only question is whether opening its row fits your build.
New in Forever. This talent never existed in Classic, so don't go looking for an old version to compare. There is none.

What Lava Burst does at each rank
A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.
- Rank 1: You hurl molten lava at the target, dealing 106 to 134 Fire damage. If your Flame Shock is on the target, Lava Burst deals 20% increased damage.
How to reach Lava Burst
Row 7 opens after you spend 30 points in the earlier Elemental rows. Level 40 is the earliest you can pick up Lava Burst, and you will need Lightning Overload maxed first.
Is Lava Burst worth the points?
One point gives you the full effect. The real cost is opening row 7. That is 30 points in the rows above, so take it when the talent suits your build.
