Searing Light
Priest · Holy · Row 4 of 7 · 2 ranks
Changed from Classic Requires Divine Fury
Searing Light sits in row 4 of the Priest Holy tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role, and you will need Divine Fury maxed first. It can take up to 2 points. Max it fully, or put in a few points just to open the rows below.
Changed from Classic. This talent now works differently than in Classic, so read the ranks below before you spend any points.
What Searing Light does at each rank
A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.
- Rank 1: Increases your Holy damage done by 2%, and gives a 5% chance each time your Holy Fire spell deals periodic damage for your next Holy Nova to cost no Mana.
- Rank 2: Increases your Holy damage done by 5%, and gives a 10% chance each time your Holy Fire spell deals periodic damage for your next Holy Nova to cost no Mana.
How to reach Searing Light
Row 4 opens after you spend 15 points in the earlier Holy rows. Level 25 is the earliest you can pick up Searing Light, and you will need Divine Fury maxed first.
Is Searing Light worth the points?
Every rank makes the effect stronger, so putting in a few points while leveling is totally fine. Max it when the final rank is the heart of your endgame build. And if you only need it as a stepping stone, no shame in stopping early.
